preview1-gamelogo Chrono Trigger

For SNES
Developer: Square
Release: TBD
Square is following-up its masterful Final Fantasy III with an all-new project called Chrono Trigger. Its heroes, the sword-weilding Chrono and a Mana-like cast, will journey through various historical time periods in this bizarre-sounding quest. Our ears were perked by news that Akira Toriyama, an artist known best for Dragon Warrior illustrations, has joined this project alongside Enix scenario writer Yuji Horii. Keep an eye on this one as more details unfold. It may be a sure-fire masterpiece.

preview2-gamelogo Ridge Racer

For PS-X
Developer: Namco
Release: TBD 1995
Having so thoroughly heated up arcades around the world, Namco's Ridge Racer is now one of the stellar Japanese launch titles for the Sony PlayStation. Its detail as shown in these screenshots is astounding. This is an arcade-perfect translation! The PlayStation is shaping up to be a fierce competitor to the Saturn in Japan, and if its young library is filled with wonders like Ridge Racer by the time it finally reaches U.S. shores, it will surely dominate and might put arcades out of business.

preview3-gamelogo Clockwork Knight

For SATURN
Developer: Sega
Release: TBD 1995
One of the premier titles for the Sega Saturn in Japan is a 3-D action-platformer called Clockwork Knight. Developed in-house at Sega, this disc is meant to supply a taste of what the Saturn is capable of. Needless to say, the graphics are brilliant and a definitive step-up from anything we have seen on 16-Bit. With action games like Clockwork on one hand and polygonal fighting hit Virtua Fighter on the other, the Saturn will be tough to beat once the console makes it way over to our neck of the woods.
