Konami - For SNES
Tiny Toon Adv.
Game Type | Game Size | Release
Action | 8 MB| Feb 1993
testimage

Buster Bunny "busts loose" in the newest game based on the tiny and toony (and a little loony) Warner Bros. critters. The graphics are totally stunning, and the sounds feel straight out of the cartoon show. Some portions feel a bit inspired by Sonic on Genesis, but speed is all the rage right now. Give it a shot, and good luck on the train level!

Interplay - For SNES
The Lost Vikings
Game Type | Game Size | Release
Action | 8 MB | Apr 1993
testimage

The Lost Vikings is an oddity. A fun oddity, though! This game mixes elements of both action and puzzle genres to concoct an amusing, brain-teasing adventure. Helping out these bearded chaps is no easy feat, and you'll be swapping between them to solve the trials, but do yourself a favor and see it in action for yourself.

THQ - For SNES
Wayne's World
Game Type | Game Size | Release
Action | 8 MB | Mar 1993
testimage

Party on, Wayne! THQ's movie tie-in may look and feel a lot like other 16-bit movie tie-ins, and that is for good reason. Their interpretation of the classic Saturday Night Live duo is fun for what it is, including commendable music and digitized scenes, but it leaves much to be desired as far as the gameplay goes. "Not worthy!"

Sunsoft - For GENESIS
Superman
Game Type | Game Size | Release
Action | 8 MB | Dec 1992
testimage

Not a bird, ne'er a plane. The Man of Steel himself makes his way to the Sega Genesis courtesy of Sunsoft (the makers of Batman). As Superman, fight the baddies with your ultra super powers and safe Metropolis from the forces of evil! This game is extremely challenging, requiring fast reflexes, albeit faithful to the comic hero.

Sega - For GENESIS
Chakan
Game Type | Game Size | Release
Action | 8 MB | Dec 1992
testimage

Based upon the comic book of the same name, Sega's eerie title Chakan: The Forever Man is a challenging romp through dark lairs and bat-infested castles. If you are up for a Genesis platformer with tons of slashing and thrashing, plus a hearty tinge of frustration, this may be worth picking up. At least you have unlimited lives!

JVC - For Sega CD
Wolfchild
Game Type | Game Size | Release
Action | CD | Mar 1993
testimage

Wolfchild was a heck of a great time when it first released on the Sega Genesis last year. Thanks to the additional power of the Sega CD, the wolfman returns with CD-quality sound and cutscenes. Use your Altered Beast-like powers and smash through Dr. Morrow's minions. This one is certainly a buy in our book, we say JVC hit a home run.

Taito - For NES
The Jetsons
Game Type | Game Size | Release
Action | 3 MB | Dec 1992
testimage

Far, far in the future, where your entire job consists of pressing a button (hmm), George Jetson is ordered by his boss to end the rambunctious activities of Mr. Cogswell. Strikingly similar to 1990's Rescue Rangers this licensed platformer involves tossing items and traversing obstacles. It's not a trainwreck, per se, but the NES has better options.

Nintendo - For Game Boy
Super Mario Land 2
Game Type | Game Size | Release
Action | 4 MB | Nov 1992
testimage

Easily the best Game Boy title we here at PyroPlayers have tackled this year. Mario 2 on the Game Boy outshines its older brother in every respect, and actually looks and plays like an NES Mario! The level design is fantastic, power-ups are rewarding, and it's chock-full of secrets. All it needs now is a spot of color to be perfect.
