Based on the beloved 1977 hit film, Star Wars puts you in control of Jedi Luke Skywalker as you fight your way through rip-roaring levels to take down the dreaded Empire. This title has packed a surefire punch, putting those 8 Megabits to work! With spectacular music straight out of the picture and excellent, varied gameplay, it's safe to say you won't want to miss this one. May the force be with you!

Nintendo - For SNES
Mario Paint
Game Type | Game Size | Release
Education | 8 MB | Oct 1992

This "game" is actually more of an art studio simulator than a earnest gaming experience. From the tech wizards at Nintendo comes this Mario-based toolbelt for your Super NES. It allows the player to create lifelike masterpieces, compose symphonies, and more! It comes packaged with a computer mouse accessory that will allow for better control. It's worth a rental to try something a bit eccentric.

Play as your favorite Super Mario character as you race through colorful, new worlds in this competitive fun-fest! Do not be fooled, this game is more than your average clone of F-Zero in a Mario skin. Super Mario Kart is a heck of a time. Item power-ups like bananas and mushrooms keep you on your toes, and the music keeps the adrenaline pumpin'! A ton of fun all around, and a Super Buy no doubt.

Shooter | 8 MB | Nov 1992
testimage

This port of the arcade hit, developed by Atlus, grants you the power to freeze and control various robots on your way to the oppressive Bio-Cyborg home world! The power-up technique is certainly a unique one, putting it ahead of your average shooter in some regard, but otherwise it does not go above and beyond. It's satisfactory enough, and fans of the genre will have enjoy the ride.

Play as your favorite NFL team and try your darndest to win on the ol' grid iron. Madden has its merits and its die-hard fans, but our sports crew found this game a surprising close-match. Character and announcer voices keep the realistic feel, and a fair variety of plays as your disposal keep the replay value high. ST FB does well with the task, but in truth you may want to hold on for Madden '93.

Rescue the damsel in distress and defeat the treacherous Galam as the Cosmic Hunters in this vibrant, new adventure from the folks over at Working Designs. Everything you'd expect a shiny CD-ROM RPG to have, this game has it in strides: High-quality music, spine-tingling battles, and more. The quest is worth your while, even if the plot may seem a touch drab at times. If you have the Turbo CD, this is a certain purchase for you.

Air Zonk

Shooter | 4 MB | Nov 1992
testimage

Imagine Bonk, but in the future as a side-scrolling shooter! This is a fun and somewhat light-hearted adventure featuring the cartoonish bad-boy Zonk (See the resemblance?) The player has a plethora of power-ups and companion characters at his disposal that are eye-catching to say the least. We're glad the Turbo is keeping a steady stream despite a rather slow year, and we expect much more coming your way!

If there ever was a game to entice a Turbo CD/TurboDuo purchase, this is it. Hudson's Gate of Thunder may just be the best shooter on the system. Plow through a tirade of enemy ships in your mission to stop a dastardly general's nefarious plan, and enjoy some rockin' tunes on the way! CD-quality cinematic cutscenes and music make this a stellar trip in space. Phenomenal and recommended by all of our reviewers.
