What excites us most about 32-Bit gaming and the now-unlocked third dimension of graphical interfaces is the potential of certain ingenious developers to bring us something completely groundbreaking which may have been impossible in years past. Jumping Flash presents the first real look at full 3-D, next-gen gameplay in a manner totally absent from other excellent PS-X titles like Toshinden. Flash grants the player control over a giant mechanical bunny called Robbit who is tasked with stopping the evil Baron Aloha from stealing chunks of Earth. To do this, Robbit must explore six worlds, each with three long sub-stages, gathering up carrots to proceed onward. Pick up weapons like rocket fireworks and bombs to devastate any opponents.

Familiar so far, but the magic of Jumping Flash is in its core gameplay. Robbit has full range over a fleshed-out 3-D environment. Within the allocated time limit, you may traverse anywhere you'd like. It is as if Sonic or Mario were made in the next-gen mold. Verticality plays a critical role as well, thanks to Robbit's powerful ability to leap, and double-jump, ultra-high. Reaching tall pillars and floating mountains is a cinch. Game control is tight and precise, thus helping greatly to navigate these perilous worlds. No texture redraws, either - you can always see the entire level. Just be careful not to miss a platform, otherwise it may be curtains for ya. Look out below!

JET'S REMARK: Skeptical players take heed! Still screen-shots do not do this release justice. As cliche as it is, this is the type of disc you truly need to see for yourself to understand the hype.

Review Station Last Stop
Jumping Flash is nothing less than revolutionary. This conversion of the platforming genre to a full 3-D environment is totally unique and simply superb. Great controls and fun gameplay make this a treasure.
