Who Shall Be Crowned The Latest Slime Winner?
| |
PPM Reviewers will routinely designate their official Slime of the Season.
This dishorable title is granted to the very worst games available and they will be debased for that very reason. For the absolute grossest, laziest, and horrific titles that make you want to go postal, there is no higher honor than being showcased as a Slime Award Recipient. Think of it as the quintessential Video Game Golden Raspberry.

THE SUMMER '93 SLIME AWARD GOES TO......!
Chester Cheetah on GENESIS
| |
We've been graced with no shortage of commercially-licensed video games in the past year. Although these types of games are cash grabs, through and through, we're lucky enough that some game companies at least take the time to develop carts worth playing for a round or two. Cool Spot shocked us in that regard, as does the steady stream of titles based on animated Disney features. Then, there's Chester Cheetah: Too Cool to Fool, an absolute eyesore of a Genesis game based on the spotted cat sporting cheesy snacks. With Chester, Kaneko severely underdelivered.

These Graphics Make Us Hurl |
The plot is a flimsy afterthought, as Chester's motorbike has gone missing and it's up to the player to progress through five short levels to get it back. Upon turning on this putrid mess, you'll discover ear-grating music and a collection of character sprites which would make the world's worst artists blush. Sure, the look and sound of the game is bad, but what about gameplay? Not much better on that front, we're afraid. Terrible play control all around and mediocre platforming from top to bottom. Stay away at all costs!
