Super Mario RPG
For SNES Developer: Square Release: May 1996 | |
A key component of understanding Nintendo's strategy is knowing they don't play by anyone's rules except their own. Case in point: Square is nearing completion on an incredible RPG for Super NES starring Super Mario characters. Once a fabled legend, it is now confirmed that a role-playing game with Mario, Princess Toadstool, and King Koopa is coming very soon. The isometric world is beautifully painted with lavishly hued backdrops and characters. Areas range from garden meadows to dank sewers, as well as the Koopa Castle itself. SM RPG will have an enormous memory size, too, with a cart potentially as large as 128 MEGs! Keep an eye out for a complete review as soon as this gem touches down in stores. |
