Star Fox 2
For SNES Developer: Nintendo Release: August 1995
Back from parts unknown in the far-off Lylat Star System, Fox and the gang are in for a totally new adventure. Star Fox 2 is currently in development for SNES, using many of the same gameplay techniques and graphical tricks as the original, though now with a super-boosted FX2 chip. Players will be able to switch from tactical combat to planetary exploration, the latter made easy when morphing the Arwing into a land walker vehicle. Nintendo has also unveiled an awesome two-player split-screen mode for doubled shooter action! We heard a range of potential release dates from "mid-Summer" to August.

Starring the slippery red echidna from Sonic 3, Chaotix will put a whole new spin on the traditional speedy platformer. Players will choose two characters before departing. One leads, the other follows. Use your critter duo to explore the 25-or-so rounds of enormous levels, dodging negative rings and racking up points in hidden 3-D bonus stages.
